Set-up an email account in Thunderbird 3.1.7

Before you can retrieve your e-mail from your new account Mozilla Thunderbird must be set up with the correct information. Follow the steps below to complete your setup...

Open Mozilla Thunderbird, then click on the Tools Menu and select Account Settings
 


Click on Tools





Next click on Account Settings
 



Next click Add Mail Account
 

Enter Your name - as shown to others

Enter Email address
Enter Password. Check Remember Password  


You may receive an Add Security Exception
 
Click to Confirm Security Exception
Click to Permanently store this exception  
 
If setting up your account for IMAP using Port 143, click Create Account.

Click Edit to set up your account for POP


Setup POP Account
 
Change to POP - Port - 110
Click to Re-test Configuration
 
Click to Create Account


You email account is complete. If you get errors, go back and review your settings.

If you can't see anything wrong, click Submit a Ticket and we'll help you get everything working properly.
